Monica – Glow Session

So I asked my friend Monica to do a ..what did I call it.. “Glowy romantic type shoot thing” bahaha.

Extremely happy with the results – it turned out better then I expected ! The sun was perfect for that added romantic glow that I wanted for this imagery.

Thanks Monica – your gorgeous.:)

Geoff + Becky Engaged!

Let me tell you something about this frickin’ guy … for starters.. HE IS AMAZING. Do you know what Geoff did to propose to this girl ? (and I was there.. heres a lil’ reminder..) He proposed to her flying over a field that had 750 candle lights in the shape of “Will you Marry Me” … AHHHHHHHHHH!! How creative is that ? Blew my mind away. Anyways – absolutely fabulous couple. It was fun chasing the sunset and driving around farms, running through wheatfields and can’t forget about that sunken in barn ! It adds “character” to the photos.. dont you think ? Bahaha.

Vance + Kari Oster

Oh wedding season is coming to an end. Only three more weddings to go – and ones in Cabo ! Brett and myself have been so busy lately shooting and editing, writing down business ideas, getting props together for future projects, booking 2013/2014 weddings, planning engagement shots, going for coffee with clients.. it doesn’t end.. and I couldn’t be happier doing all of it. I know it may seem overwhelming but we love it.. we love whenw we finish a project that took us weeks to do.. the feeling of success is like how you feel when good endorphins kick in after a tough workout ! I figure with each project we complete.. we learn – from photos that take even my breath away.. or from the failures of having your ISO too high or your aperture too low.. we get better. I feel we get so much closer to where we want to be in this business.. I know we’re still far away.. but can you imagine after all this hard work .. ? We’ll be on a permanent high! haha! Anyways.. heres a completed project that I LOVED working on.

So it’s OSTER. Not OYSTER. Haha. Kari + Vance.. if anyone knows these two then they know that the word soulmate is used best to describe them. High school sweethearts are rare these days just like Vance and Kari’s love for each other – it’s real, strong, emotional, and unwavering. The venue they chose was in a small town called Waskesiu, Saskatchewan where they vacationed many summers previous. Beautiful and quaint.:)I was so happy when they asked me to be their photographer, because I knew that their beauty would be so easy to capture. From Kari’s princess dress, to Vance’s vintage gangster look.. I loved it.

I’ll also have you know.. I shot this wedding completely by myself. Brett was actually the best man (isn’t he handsome).

Anyways, without further a-due .. Vance & Kari !

Cheryl’s pictures are unique and fun….just like Kari and Vance.
